Well the first Full day that I have to work was today the 16 Aug 2009. Last night my Squad leader comes into my room and says hey be at the bus stop at 0630. we all will meet there and go to the "Office" ( I use the word Office in lue of what the real name of the place is due to security reasons). I'm like cool. So the next morning I am at the chow hall and I don't see them but by chance I do see a Specialist (SPC) that is working with us that seems like he knows what he is doing and I thought he has been here before. Well we eat and its 0620. It like 2 min walk to the bus stop. so we leave and he it comes 0630 well I dont see anyone of the Joe's so we get on the bus and I look and the SPC and say hey do you know where we are going. Hes like yeah no problem it on the east side. So we get there and I look at him and say "so how much further". He's like well Im not sure. Im like really. So I ask around and no one can tell me where the place I want to go is. But there is one person that says oh just go to the movie theater and by there you can find the people that can get you there. So we do and the Staff Sergeant is all bewillderd by my querstion when I ask him. He tells me that I have to go to the PAX terminal (its like a Air prot for the military) and that is where the "Office" is. Im like ummmm OK. so we go there and I meet this Air Force person. I tell here that Im looking for the "Office" and she says I am the "Office" well we go around and around for awhile and then se must have seen that Im with the Army and says "well I have no idea where your "Office" is. So by this time the SPC gets all pissed off and starts yelling and carring on abount how he is going to kick ass when he finds the Squad leader. So with that I pull him out of there and we ride all the way back to the starting point. I tell him that We will find the Platoon Sergeant (SGT) and get this all strained out. Well the SPC finaly says to me as we are almost to the SGT room that Oh he's int he Tatical Operations Center (TOC). Im like Oh now you say something usefull. So we go there and as we are passing building after buliding to get to the TOC we find the Squad leader. Well He chews my ass for being late like 2 hours and hingin half the "Office" looking for me. SO I say just tell me where the Damn "Office" is. He looks at me and says turn around. As I do so in Big Bold Black and White letters it says the "Office" I looked at the SPC and said "tell me agian how you just new where the place was agian....
Ok mybe its not as funny as it seems but I hope that I can LOL about it later.
Well it does not look like I will always be able to make my Sunday’s dead line like I wanted to. Due to me working and just forgetting, about doing it all together.
We all came back from Ft Rucker 2 days ago. The training was good for me. I finally learned what I will be doing in the AMR. I would say what AMR is but I forgot. I will try to put it in later. It was really hard for us the first few days. The trainers had thrown us all kinds of curve balls at us. Many of them where so unrealistic that I didn’t think we would ever complete them. There was one night where we had 2 shifts. Well we didn’t know that the civilians close up shop at like 1800 (6 pm) so we had to do it the hard way by typing it all in the computer instead of just cut copy and paste. It got really bad when we didn’t have a way to figure out the time and distance to one point to another and that is crucial for a Helicopter. The team got done at 0430 that morning and then had to be back at 0715 for a meeting. Boy did that suck. Then the Major said well seeing how we are here let’s stay until lunch. I was like let’s not and sat we did. K? I think I was the crankiest Sergeant that was there that day. Not even the coffee I had made me any better. When we finally got to the Hotel I just crashed. I’m glad that my roommate understood the fact that I didn’t want to be woke up otherwise he might have had to sleep out in the van.
The whole time we were in Ft Rucker AL it rained. It wasn’t a long rain but it would come down hard and fast then for about an hour or two it would just be all sunny as if nothing had happened. The country is really nice though. I’m going to miss the Green trees and grass. Oh I never did figure out why they say stay off the grass there. Of course I didn’t. I worked on it as much as I could lol.
We had a going away ceremony again. This time it was from Ft Sill I guess it normal to do here. I have to give the General thumps up for the shorts speech I have ever heard for a 2 star. That and the fact that I had already held back the screaming shits 2 times. I didn’t think I could do it again. Just as soon as I had been greeted by the General the 3rd wave came and I knew then that I had to go. Boy was it a long run to the bathroom. Thank God I made it cuz the new uniforms would not have hit the mess well. Lol.
Well I am back from my 3 day pass here in OK. I’m not sure why I am saying that I am back when I never really left FT Sill. I should say that everyone is back from leave and from seeing their loved ones. I personally didn’t what to go back home to see everyone. As an old girl friend of mine said….I was prepared to say my goodbyes when you left the first time. Now you just made it harder on me. At the time I never gave it much thought. But as I got older and had my first deployment I found that what she said made since. Of course everything she said back then made since I just never took the time to listen to her.
The ones that did stay at FT Sill we hung out a bit and seen what little OK had to offer. We seen Geronimo’s grave and most of his people that followed him, seen a huge cliff that was said to be where Custer had chased big G off the cliff and landed safely. Or so they say. Seen a guy pet a bobcat like it was a kitten. LOL not me. I happen to like my fingers. I have to say it was really cute to watch. I was able to see the Harry Potter movie. That was good. Oh and I was able to go swimming. Of course I got a little too burnt but oh well.
So now I wait here for my next set of orders for another Fort. Of course I’ll tell you all where that is when I get there.
Well I can see thatas of right now I will not always be able to ubdate this blog or twitter, myspace, or facebook. So I will do it every sunday. I will do my best not to forget anything that has happened. So seeing how I am on here now I will tell you al what has happened this week so far. We got to FT Sill OK a few days ago. Some say that it is a humid heat. Well I say that it is a dry one. I should know I have been in enough areas to know. the base is as old as they come. I think it was used during the Indian wars. I think that Jeronamo is baried 3 miles from here. I will try to get some photos of the site. we have had few classes so far. and that is good for me. but bad for the ones that have to make it up. it seems like the hole place takes about 15 min to get anyware. Of course it was easyer whenI had a bus to drive every ware. I did go to the gym tonight and it was amazing. the gilrs cond me and houston in running after word. I was so dead after word. im kinda glad that we dont have Physical training (PT) in the morning.
Oh are new motto is Above the Best. So when we pass by an offcier we all say Above the Best. Well I have been bored and some times say above the CHEST or above the NAVEL. One of the Captions got a kick out of that one. I have noticed that many of the officers are getting realy tired of soluting so tomarrow I will make it a point to solute every officer I see just for fun. lol
Well the good byes where nice and it was nice to see my dad for a moment or two. I am glad that he didnt stay any longer then he needed to. I thought that the cerimony was to kick off at 1200 but it was to start at like 1500. That was way to long of a wait for my dad. He got a call from mom not long after he got there that the power was off in half of the house. So I know that had to worry her a bit.
I am back doing buss detail. The gilrs seem to like it and Im glad. Its not everyday that I get to do some thing nice for a lady or in this case lady’s. Well I just wanted to get on her and post a little and see more about this site. It seems to be workoing well. I just home that it is saving my postes and not deleting them after a while.

Well this will be my main posting site seeing how the army is not letting anyone on the Myspace and Facebook websites. After seeing what people have put on the site I can see why. To many people are talking about things that have to do with a mission that was done or when one will be done. I am hoping to make what I know fun and interesting but at the same time safe for the other soilders so that they can move freely and with out fearing that the enemy will know when and how we are hurn or how we have trainned.
I do not have much time right know to say much do to the fact that is luch time and I am starving. SO take care all and I will keep youo all in my prayers.
